Question about Grocery Stop

I am wondering if when people take their stops at grocery stores, if one person does the shopping and one person stays with the car...with all of your stuff? I don't want to be paranoid, but if both DH and I went into the store, the driver could just leave with all of our stuff.

I've used four different services in the past years (all referrals from this board) and have never had a problem, in fact, I've never given consideration to it. I guess ignorance is bliss! What I have noticed is this, every time we've exited the store the driver has been standing outside the vehicle waiting to help us load the groceries. I've had extremely good service from all of the companies and never doubted them for a second. It will be interesting to hear other opinions on this.

My experience is the same as refieldmjr's. We always arrange for a towncar transfer, always add a grocery stop, and have used a number of companies. We are a family of three, and all three of us go into the grocery store and leave the driver in charge of our luggage. Of course I take my purse and my DH takes his wallet, so we never leave cash/credit cards, etc. in the towncar. We have never had concerns that our driver would drive off with our stuff, and really I don't think the incentive would there be for drivers to do so. Most people just take a bunch of clothes (that fit them and not the driver) and personal items to WDW. So, if the driver drove off they would end up with a bunch of stuff that probably wouldn't fit them, that they would only get garage sale value if they tried to sell, and they would likely lose their job on top of it.

I guess if your 30 minute stop became 90 minutes the driver might leave otherwise I wouldn't worry.

We always leave at least one adult in the car, since it is easier to shop quickly if your kids are not underfoot, and there is no way in Hades I would leave my kids and stuff in the towncar without at least one parent there :teeth: .

if any of the pp's are still watching this thread....

what companies have you used? I am in need of transportation for 12 people in October!

Thanks!
