Question about going seasonal

If my DD decides to go seasonal after her extension (she's done in May 2012), could she potentially just stay down there for an additional few weeks and do her 150 hours as a seasonal employee, then be 'on the books' as a cast member? And how long would she stay as a cast member (on the books)?

I think it would be a LOT easier for her to remain down there to do her 150 hours (she's made friends she could potentially crash with offsite) than coming home and having to go back down and find housing (not to mention travel expenses).

Thanks,

I know that she has to finish her program before she can be converted to a seasonal cast member. It took about a week after my program officially ended for Disney's Access Control Department to see my conversion, and when they did, I was finally able to go and obtain the proper i.d. card as seasonal. I am assuming as long as she falls in their guidelines for completing the 150 hours by the deadline date, she should be able to do that. I do know that in order to remain a cast member, one must declare their availability quarterly to Disney via The Hub (internal website). I believe that if a seasonal castmember does not declare this quarterly according to the dates stated by Disney, they will be "officially separated" from the Company, meaning that they would then need to reapply, and I suppose, reinterview if necessary.

It may take some time for the switch from CP to CT to be recognized, but just as long as she works the 150 hours, I do not think there will be any problems. It would be best if she discusses this with her leaders and also probably talk to labor operations.
