Question about going in February 2007

We are thinking about going to Disney World in early February and I was curious to see which moderate resorts you would recommend? There will be 3 families going - 7 adults (ranging in age from 27 - 55) and 3 kids (5, 2 and just under 2). What is there for us to do at the resorts that time of year (if anything)? Thanks in advance!!

After much research I chose POFQ for our upcoming January 07 trip. I have read a number of polls on the subject. The Moderates seem to be fairly equal in people's preferences.

Here are some of the main reasons I went with POFQ over other mods:

Small resort, not necessary to upgrade to a higher priced room to have convenient access to the amenitites.

The boat to DTD. Liked the idea of having a different source of transportation available other than a bus.

Price, variety and ease of use of the food court. Having only stayed at the Values and liking the food court we wanted something similar.

Inside lounge with live entertainment and "bar food" if we decide to send the kiddies to Disney Quest and have an adult evening.

Been to New Orleans, love the architecture, atmosphere and the Beignets!

I have read a lot on the busses, seems like every resort at every level has some sort of bus issue, whether it be the internal transportation or the busses to the parks. I decided that the bus issue was really the least of the +/-'s to consider when choosing a resort. JMO

We (my DH and me) go every year in early February and we love it. We stay at POR and we love that too. You can rent bikes, boats or take a carriage ride. There is a game room and a couple of pools. We have stayed there 3 times with a 4th time this coming February. You can take the boat to DTD. The buses run smoothly. We like this time of year because there are less crowds and it fits into the budget better. You have to remember the SuperBowl is in Florida again this year so it might be a little bit more crowded. WE LOVE it anyway! Enjoy!

I too am hoping to plan a early February trip. I was wondering if anyone THOUGHT there would be a code out for then. Was there one out last year? Another question I have is if I book a room for February, is it also possible to switch the date without any penalty? Thanks MUCH....
