Question about going in Feb

We are thinking about going to WDW in Feb but want to know when President's weekend is, since i have heard that this is not a good time to go. Thanks so much.

It depends, before ----the room rates are lower, goes from value-reg season after that time, weather is a little cooler than at the end of feb
after.... still the crowds are the same, but the rates go up-----i've found it to be a little warmer........we always try for the end of Feb./begin of Mar.....so to keep my crowd quota down I suggest you go BEFORE president's
day weekend..........OK????

Thank you for the info. Will have to really think about when to go. We have a 4 yr DD and a 20 month DD, so we are wanting to go before the 4yr starts school.

If I remember correctly Pres. Week is also the week of Mardi Gras here in New Orleans and you would not believe the people that leave her to do Disney, if you have another week that you could go I would recommend it!

Hi,
Was there Feb. 2006 during Presidents week and it really wasn't bad. It was like June without the heat, it gets warm but the humidity stays low.

Value season is from Jan. 1, 2007 thru Feb. 14, 2007, so if you want to go when most of the kids are stil in school book within the first two weeks in Feb and save a few dollars and beat some of the crunch of the winter break folks.

This year we went before to take advantage of the value season and wanted to be there over Valentine's Day. We ended up being there during the coldest week FL had, but being from the N we were ok. I think we needed our winter coats one day and the rest we were in sweatshirts and jackets. We did notice a major difference towards the end of the week when everyone else started coming in for President's week. The day we were leaving it was going to be in the 80s and it only drizzled/rain on us one afternoon for a short while.

We are planning on Feb 7-12. DD has the 8th, 9th and 12th off. I was wondering what the weather would be like and the crowds.

We love to go to Florida in February!!! We are going from February 3-10, 2007. DD10 will miss 2 half days and one full day... No biggie!! President's Day is on February 19th but from what I understand it gets pretty packed! Good luck with planning your trip!

we went once over Presidents weekend for the Daytona 500. Which I believe is the same weekend again. It was very busy. We chose to go earlier because of it. We are going Jan 26 for 7 nights.

we've been before, during and after. One thing they all have in common...we had a great time during each trip. I find the talk of crowds is usually over-emphasised. if you go to Disney, expect to see lots of people...Hey! it's Disney and they do a pretty good job at crowd management

We'll be there Feb 17-25, right in the middle of the crowds. I am a teacher, and we have the whole week off from Mardi Gras. No matter how bad the crowds are, I still love Disney this time of year. I was able to get all of the dining ressies I wanted, so maybe that is a good sign!

We go every year in Feb and we love it. We won't go any other time. The lines are short or basically gone. We are there this year from Jan 30 through Feb 10th. We can't wait. The weather can be unpredicatable so you can layer your clothes. This is our 4th trip but our 3rd trip in Feb. Enjoy

We're going Feb 7-12 (will be in Orlando the 5th). I wanted to avoid the crowds. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad but compared to Chicago weather it will probably still feel like a heat-wave.

My son is in pre-school so I'm not worried about him missing school. He'll miss three classes. I think he'll survive. :lol

Hi im going to disney for the first time with my 9 yr old pop century ... feb8 for 8 nights jus coming back in time then but you say the weather could be cold!

We are going from the 6th to the 15th of Feb. All I know is it won't be anywhere near as cold as Calgary in the middle of February. Today with the windchill it is
-21C which I believe is -5 F
