Question about getting Tangled lantern photo

I'm going to be in MK on the 23rd and 24th and would really like to get the Tangled lantern shot since I've been loving everyone's results, but I have not found much information as to where and what time to go for it. Ideally, I would prefer to take the picture on the 24th since on that day I'll be Disneybounding as Belle. But I'm also thinking the park will be more crowded on that day because of EMH...

I would love to hear your experiences and input as to how I should plan this. I don't have any ADR's or FP+ planned so my schedule is wide open. I'll also more than likely be by myself although my parents may come meet me later.

Absolutely the day of the later park closing. Go there late in the evening, and the line will have died down significantly.

Because on the previous MK day, I'm disneybounding as Pooh and I figured it would be a much better picture if I was at least dressed as one of the princesses. Plus I couldn't find any pieces I liked for a Tangled disneybound...

Do they stop doing those pictures at a certain point? Or is it up until park close?

I'm curious about this as well. My schedule is very flexable so I can go as soon as they start or closer to when it ends.

I don't think the line will be bad either day. I got the tangled picture taken on the 30th when the New Year's Eve festivities were going on and I waited in a line with about 5 people in front of me at around 8:00pm. There were 2 CMs at this photo spot. One takes the picture and the other hands you the lantern and has you pose.

My question also. I have one night in the MK on my upcoming trip and it has evening EMH until midnight. Would they be taking them during evening EMH? Or should I leave the Plaza Garden after HEA and skip OUAT for a possible shorter line?

I've found that the later you go the better it is. There a new nightime photo outside of the teacups that they just announced, I think it has a lantern as well. There is also a lantern pic for Haunted Mansion that's cool - near the Haunted Mansion sign, near the turn to the tangled bathrooms. They all make cool pics IMO.

We stumbled upon it when happily ever after (fireworks) we’re going on and there was like no line. Maybe like 6 people ahead of us

We had the shot taken at the teacups yesterday evening. I like it. They just hand you a lantern to hold while they take the pic with teacups in the background.

Are these standard magic shots or something else?

They are actually real objects that you hold so not really magic shots per se. They are included in Memory Maker via photopass, so you could buy them individually if you didn't have the memory maker purchased. We have Annual passes so I make my kids do these kinds of photos lol. They aren't something that you could have taken with your own camera easily. Their cameras are setup for the night shot with the laterns. It is a really cool photo.

Anyone know how many lanterns they have for the HM one? I have 3 kids and would love to have a 3 caretakers picture with them each holding a lantern.

They just have one lantern but you can have them each do a photo. We did one with kids and one all together.

Thanks so much for the info! I had seen a few pics of the HM one but I wasn't sure if that was just for MNSSHP so I'm glad to hear it's a regular thing. Definitely would like to take that as well. And we'll be at MK the day before so I have no problem missing fireworks for those shots.

I'm also curious about what someone else has mentioned about if they still do them during EMH. I mean, I'm sure it'll be dark sooner with us going in January so I'm sure they'll be out sooner but still...

Awesome! I'll definitely be on the lookout for them as soon as it gets dark enough!
