Question about getting Star Wars pin to be released Nov 1st

There's a Star Wars pin being released on Nov 1st at WDW. I would LOVE to surprise my DS9 with it. What would be the best way about going about trying to get it? I know I can watch ebay for it, but I would really like to try to set up a trade or something. Is it crazy to think that maybe someone will pick it up for me and I can pick up a MVMCP pin for them (we're attending Dec 6)?

I'd appreciate any advice on this.
