Question about Gameboy sale

I was wondering if anyone remembered from last year if there were any Black Friday or any other big or special sales on Gameboys. We are getting DD one for Christmas and would love to find a good deal on it. I am excited that the price came down 20.00 from last year, but I want more!!!! LOL!

Last years BF special at TRU was an "exclusive" color with a game inside. No break on price, but you got a free game. Have not seen this years BF ad yet, and won't until the Tuesday or Wednesday before.

I was just in a toys 'r us and beware.... the gameboys have come down in price because the new version is coming out! It is going to be $150 I think we are still going to buy the $79 one and hope for the best. I can't afford the $150 one.

I thought I read somewhere that the VideoNow movies run on Gameboy. Anyone know the answer?

I had heard about the new one, but I think we will just go w/ the regular one also. I am not going to worry about the new version. DD will just have to be happy w/ it! (Which I think she will.)

Last year, Walmart had a run on the smaller Gameboys on Black Friday. The ones that are on sale now for $79 were not on sale last year. I've wondered if the $79 ones were going to be one of the hot Black Friday items as well too.

The VideoNow movies don't run on gameboy but you can buy movies that are specifically made for gameboy. I don't know what they are, but Sponge Bob comes to mind.

OMG! I purchased my DS the $79 one during Columbus Day sale at TRU. At the time I got the gameboy, a starter kit and the game Sharktale for $99. Even that seemed very pricey to me. I can't imagine paying $150 for one .

I am paying $150 TWICE, one for DS and one for DD. But they really seem neat, and will play the advanced games, though the advanced won't play the DS games. I paid deposits to hold them when they come out in a couple weeks. Games will cost more too . I am insane. So yes, GB advanced should be found for less $$ this year! Not sure if they will stop making the games for them soon. ??
