Question about GAD

We are doing our day of service on March 27th. How long will it take for us to recieve our certificate to get our tickets? We are going down on April 7th and are hoping to use the tickets then.

It really depends, but it's usually 1 - 2 weeks after your service. Have a great trip!

Disney will send your volunteer leader an email at midnight for them to verify your service was completed. My leader was checking at midnight but many I'm sure do not. Ours took about 3-4 days. It could take longer. Just keep checking the website.

We did our project last Friday and received the tickets this morning.

It depends on the person in charge of your volunteer work. I would go straight to them and ask if they could do the verification for you. (they are probably very busy and have up to 2 weeks to verify you) Once verified your certificate will be emailed to you.

I first received an email from Disney that they were notified that the service day was completed, in the email the next day. this was followed with an email from the program director that the information had been sent and thanking us.

I went back again and volunteered. It was a great time at an afterschool program serving dinner. I am waiting for the email with the ticket vouchers. The mail said it could take up to 2 weeks.

I turned in the gift baskets to the Senior Center on a Monday, and my vouchers were available to print on Thursday.

I dropped off our blankets on Saturday. I had an email from Disney yesterday morning telling me I could print my vouchers.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news.......... but I hope you weren't planning on using the GAD vouchers until later in your trip.

Per Disney:

When is my free Disney theme park ticket valid for use? Are there any dates I can't use my ticket?

Your voucher for a free ticket to enter one of the Disney Theme Parks may be redeemed through December 15, 2010, and must be redeemed and used on the same day. Please note, however, that on the following days, you will not be allowed to redeem your voucher for a free ticket:

* Walt Disney World® Resort: March 29 - April 8 and July 4, 2010
* The Disneyland® Resort: February 13-14, March 21, June 21-22, July 4, November 21, December 11-12, 201


I only know because, of course, the days of our spring break when I wanted to use the GAD--I can't. So we're now planning a trip for either early June, October or November.
