question about FW

We stayed at Fort Wilderness last October and loved it. My ds is going to Seaworld for a cub scout event in July.
We want to go to Blizzard Beach one day we are there.
My question, can we stay at FW for 3 or 4 days and only do a "disney" thing one or two of the days?

Yes. Lots of people camp at The Fort and don't go to any parks.

For us the "Disney thing" begins as soon as we turn off I-4 and get on WDW property and culminates with setting up at FW. The Parks, DTD and all other events are just icing on the cake.

We have stayed at FW for over a week and never seen a park or the outside of FW.

I agree with this completely. In fact, when we visit the in-laws in Kissimmee, I can feel a magnetic draw from Disney property. ANYWHERE on Disney property is the "Disney thing" to me.

DD and family recently moved to St. Cloud and to turn off I-4 just one exit before WDW is so HARD. Have to work that wheel because car wants to go straight a little longer.
