Question about free dining

I know there are already a dozen threads regarding free dining. I'm just another person waiting patiently for the code to come out. I haven't seen this question anywhere and I am curious. My question is this: does your entire stay have to fall within the free dining period to get free dining? I'm hoping to book a stay Sept 20-27 and I'm concerned that it may be too late to get free dining. If free dining is offered only through Sept 20 (as rumored), will I qualify? How does this work? Thanks a bunch in advance!

I've heard Yes and No. The no side says that its impossible because the new booking process, but realistically the booking process wouldn't come into play. Its a 1 time add on because TECHNICALLY you could spend all of your meal services in that 1 day.

FROM EXPERIENCE, I say BOOK NOW and if free dining is offered for you, it can be added. (Free Dining usually requires atleast a one day MYW ticket "allegedly" rack rate, though I have been able to use AAA discount for room) BUT if you have NO reservation, you may get TOTALLY blocked out when you call to TRY and get it at all. I got in on bounceback/free dining for Sept and my dates are 9/27-9/30 if that helps at all.

It depends.The few Disney Cms I have spoken to say that all promotions now ( including free dining) can not be extended past the last date.But who knows until it is released.As for booking now, you can if you want too, not sure how much it helps.I had pre-booked POP last year and once free dining got annouced, there was NO availibity left...so I had to switch to ASmo.The only advantage I gained by booking before free dining was I already had my adrs.
