Hi everyone,
So I called Disney to book my trip and I am going August 25th- 31st 2014. When I asked about the dining plan she included it in the package. It says free dining plan but the free ones start August 31st, I thought. Does anyone know if they extended the dates because when I asked a local travel agent to check she got the same thing. The free dining plan is included. I am not complaining but I am curious! Thanks.

You may have had a "pin" code attached to your name. The best way to check if you really got free dining is go to the Disney web site and "pretend" book all the components (hotel room type, insurance, park hopper tickets/or just tickets) of your trip without the dining plan see if you come up with the same price you are paying. Everything I have read says free dining starts Aug 31.

yep, it's a PIN code that was assigned to you or a targeted offer. There are no further general public free dining offers.

Yes I am Canadian. I did not realize that it depends where you live. I want to book through an American site though. Do you think that they will extend the dining plan to start August 17th for the US customers as well?

Probably not, since they released everything until the end of the year at once.

What American site did you want to book through? I don't see that there's a difference between booking through Disney in Canada and booking through Disney in the US.

No, they would have done it by now.

Thanks, I got it all sorted out. August 17th is for Canadians but I was booking through an American site and I hated the idea of paying for a dining plan when it was free but booking through the Walt Disney was a few hundred dollars higher even with me paying for the dining plan on the other site. Anyways, there is nothing I can do about that. I just thought maybe they had changed the dates. Thanks for the replies though!
