I posted this question over on the Disney Dining Plan Forum and it was suggested that I ask my question here; I hope this is the right place to ask this question! If it isn't, please let me know the right forum to ask :)

MY DH and I are booked for FD with the required MYW ticket (We have a 2 day ticket w/ PH and WPM). We are also recent Florida residents and would like to convert our tickets to a Florida resident AP (we are looking at the "Disney Weekday Select Pass" since we never go to the parks on the weekend, and purchasing a water park AP). Is it possible to convert our tickets to this kind of AP and still retain our FD? I thought I read in recent FD forum that this is possible, but would like to confirmation.

Thank you!!!

You can't convert until you take your trip or you will lose free dinning. APs do not count for the minimum ticket requirement. When you are at guest relations they will upgrade you and make sure ypu don't lose your FP in the process.

Thank you @wilkeliza- this is great news! Just to confirm though...each MYW ticket is around $315 and the Disney Weekday Select Pass is around $275. It won't be an issue converting our tickets into a cheaper option? Would we receive a credit for the difference?

I should have stated that we had no intentions of converting the tickets until we take our trip (in September). I'm glad to hear that Guest Relations can help- can we go to the GR at Disney Springs?

Thank you again!

I'm not sure if you can get a credit back. There have been mixed messages on thag with some saying it is not given and others saying they were given the credit.

I believe you can swap at GR in Disney springs.

Actually, the credit would not be too much of an issue since we also planned on purchasing Water Park APs too. I'd imagine that the credit could be applied to those passes.

Thank you again @wilkeliza for your help; greatly appreciated! :earsboy:
