question about free dining dates

When I look at free dining dates for March, some sites say that March 10th is included and some say it isn't. Do they change the dates or is there just a mistake on some sites? Is the 10th included?

Do you think they will offer kids stay and play free for March again? We went to Disney for the first time in March of 2011 and used that deal and saved quite a bit. Which would be better...free dining or kids stay and play free? We have 2 kids ages 3 and 8.

what is on the Disney site is correct. You would have to check in the 8th to get the discount. It used to be including the 10th and sometimes they still honor that(they changed my dates too) I would call and talk to a CM and say look, I say it on a site and see. It couldnt hurt

Can you share what you meant by "they changed my dates, too"? As far as I am aware (according to my confirmation email), I'm booked for FD with the first day of our vacation on 3/10. I'm pretty sure Disney couldn't change that at this point, but your post gave me a little to wonder about.

These are the correct Free Dining dates:

2011
October 1 - 6
October 22 - November 3
November 12 - November 17
November 26 - December 1
December 10 - December 15

2012
January 8 - 12
January 21 - February 2
February 11 - 16
March 3 - 8
March 24 - 29

Generally, free dining for a family of 4, with only 2 kids, is a bigger discount than the Kids Stay and Play Free Discount. For example, a 6 day base child ticket is about $240.00, so the Stay and Play Discount is going to save you about $480.00 off rack rate. On a week stay, a Free Dining discount is going to save you about $890.00. So the FD discount would save you at least $400.00 more than the Stay and Play Discount.

When dates fill-up, they take them off the list for new reservations. No sense advertising that it is available through 3/10 when there is no availability for that date. If you already have a reservation, you will be OK.
