Question About Free Dining (blackout dates)

Hi! I have a hypothetical question as we are preparing for the might be discount tomorrow!

Let's say that the day we arrive is blackedout because it is part of a "peak" season/Easter. If we wanted to take advantage of a free dining package, would we have to make a separate reservation for that night since it wouldn't be included in the free dining?

I'm just not sure what we would do about that arrival day - would we still be able to take advantage of the free dining and have everything as ONE reservation or would we need to make two reservations.

I'm not entirely sure if that question makes sense!

Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure you'd have to make two reservations -- one a room only, then checking in for your package the next day. The reservations could be linked in the computer so you hopefully wouldn't have to change rooms. You couldn't start using your dining plan until you checked in on your package, but it's possible that you could get your park tickets at a guest services windows at a theme park. I've read different answers to that last part.

Thank you!!
I guess the same can be said about the 40% possible discount code as well. We've had it before where we had to make two reservations but they kept us in the same room. I guess in a way it kind of seems like a hassle to make two reservations when you want to be enjoying the parks, but you have to technically 'check out' and then 'check in'.

Thank you again!
