Question about First Aid centers at the parks

Hello, sadly, my son has just been diagnosed with asthma apparently I had asthma as a toddler so he probably gets it from me. Anyways, this is all new to me, I came out of his pediatrician office so overwhelmed with all the meds he needs to take daily now. He needs to use a nebulizer 4 times a day so he can take his meds. My question is, are there oxygen tanks in the first aid centers? That way i won't have to carry his nebulizer all over the parks. And if not do you think they would mind if i store the nebulizer there and go when he needs his treatment?? i'm trying to find the most confortable solution for everybody. I don't know if they have oxygen tanks in First Aid or not. But I don't see a problem with leaving the nebulizer either in First Aid or they might even keep it for you in the Baby Care Center.

I was told they have Oxygen at the parks for emergencies only. They will keep your nebulizer in the First Aid Centers (they stored some medicine for us in First Aid; but, NOT in the Baby Care Area~ liability issues). The nurses at First Aid were all very kind. We utilized First Aid at all four theme parks. Try to relax and have fun!

The First Aid centers will store medical supplies and equipment for people, as well as provide assistance. They do not have oxygen there. The only medical oxygen available is from the Rescue Squads for emergency treatment.

We were told there was a limited supply of oxygen in all of the first aid stations; we were told that an ambulance would be called if they needed to use the oxygen on anyone while at the park. The RN at Animal Kingdom relayed this information to me on the first day of our last trip. Is this incorrect?

As was already posted, First Aid only has oxygen when it is needed by the Emergency Medical Squad for emergency care.
They can store your medication and/or your nebulizer there. They also have treatment rooms where he would be able to go for his treatments if you want.
The staff are very nice and you will find them to be very helpful. There is a First Aid station at each park, sort of centrally located - you will find the locations marked on all the park maps.

No, I was not referencing you. I meant more that other people had already posted what I was posting.

What you posted you were told was really what the rest of us were saying too.
They do have oxygen, but if it’s used they need to call an ambulance, as you said.

That’s just a different way of saying the same thing as Cheshire Figment and I posted.

There are some small travel size nebs available, I think some run on batteries so you might want to look into that. It sounds like your child is young so if you have a stroller you may just want to put your neb in the stroller, put the meds in a cooler to keep them from getting roasted in the FL sun and then just take a break for a treatment when needed. You can go back to the First Aid station but there are also plugs all around and you may be able to find a quiet spot to plug it in and give a treatment without going back to First Aid.

Thank you so much for all your replies. Yes, my son is 2 and we will be using a stroller, but i don't want to leave the nebulizer there because 1) the heat may be a problem; 2) we usually park the stroller in a "land" a go explore it so i don't think it's safe.
I guess we'll just go to the first aid center each time he needs a treatment, which won't be so bad, as we are going with my parents whom will really apprecciate the break, and us the a/c

I did check on that... they are really expensive (around $130) I can't justify the cost for it to use it only at Disney, and insurance won't cover it... Thanks for the tip anyways
