Question about fireworks viewing from Grand Floridian

We finally have a chance to see fireworks! My kids go to bed at 8:30, so we never get the opportunity. I was so excited to see them scheduled at MK on 12/30 at 7:30. Is this the NYE preview? Anyways, my youngest is afraid of them, so I thought it would be best to watch them outside of the park. I have 6:00 reservations at Citricos. Can we walk over to Narcoossee's and watch them there? Is that area open to anyone?

Go to the dock where the boat launch is or see them in front of gasparillas
I know the music is piped in to one of those two places.

last year they did holiday wishes at 7:30 and then finished with the countdown fireworks and perimeter fireworks. Not sure if they're doing that again this year but it was pretty cool.

Note also that at the midnight fireworks the fireworks will be shot off from the lagoon too!

You can watch the fireworks from the boat dock, which is near Narcoossee's, and has almost the same view. The veranda around Narcoossee's is now reserved for guests dining at Narcoossee's.

It depends on how many courses you order, how busy the restaurant is, how fast you eat, etc., but the average Signature meal generally takes between 90 and 120 minutes, so you might be cutting it pretty close with a 6:00 pm Citricos reservation and fireworks scheduled at 7:30 pm.
