The short question
If I take a pair of eyeglasses I currently have (that contain my updated perscription) to an optical place, can they get my perscription from the lenses? (I'm in the market for some new frames.) OR - is my contact perscription the same as my eyeglass perscription? (meaning - are they represented the same way? ie... -2.5 and -3.25?)
The long question
Going along with the above...I got an eye exam in May under my vision plan. I didn't know I was ALSO on my HUSBANDS vision plan. He said - go get another exam before the end of the year - use it or lose it. I already used MY plan to get my disposable contacts for the year. Can I just use THAT perscription, and go to an optician with HIS vision plan and use it to get new glasses?
or is this totally wrong? I mean - we paid for both vision plans not knowing it...so yes, i had "double" the insurance for vision this past year.
