I am trying to plan a one day trip to EPCOT with my mom who uses a scooter. She is able to walk short distances. The scooter is for a heart condition. In thinking about the various attractions I came up with 2 questions.

First Spaceship earth is there a way its accessible for those in a scooter without her having to walk up that hill?

Secondly the Seas with Nemo, if I recall correctly, the ride starts one place and ends another how do you get the scooter so you can go through the aquarium area?

thanks in advance
Jamie

Spaceship earth has a separate entrance, nemo with our wc they moved it for us so it was waiting when we got off

yes space ship earth uses a different entrance ( the exit) go to the CM at the entrance and ask them what you need to do normally is the wait is 10 minutes or less they tell you how to get to the exit and a CM there will help you on the ride they will ask her if she can walk some if she need to ride if she need to have the moving walk why stopped of slowed depending on how may people are in front of here you can get on right away or you will have to wait some. even thought there is no ( I do not think there is ) assessable viehical they do not want a lot of people that will need help off in case the ride breaks down so I think they limit it to 2 or 3 guest at any one time ( I could be a little wrong on the numbers but this is want I heard

I think the other ride you go in the normal line up until where you bard then you are directed to the exit and enter there.

Spaceship Earth has a waiting and boarding area for guests with disabilities. It is at the exit and has space for parking ECVs and wheelchairs and some benches for waiting. The wait is variable - we have waited as short as 5 minutes or as long as 30 minutes. We have also been given a handwritten ticket with a return time when it was particularly a long wait.
To get to the disabled boarding area, which is the exit, guests need to go up about a 30 foot, fairly steep long ramp. Guests going up are asked to stay to one side; even though guests coming down are also asked to stay to one side, you need to watch out for them because they sometimes are not watching.
If she feels she can't walk that far, the attraction has loaner wheelchairs she could borrow to get up to the ride cars.
There is an ADA car with a door that opens wider, but there is not an accessible ride car.
They try to not stop the moving walkway and just slow it instead, but the CM controlling the walkway is right there and will slow it further or stop it if needed.

They usually 'batch' the guests with disabilities and board between 2 and 6 cars at a time with guests from the accessible boarding area.

Nemo doesn't seem like it, but the boarding area and unload area are actually very close together. After the guest boards, the CM easily moves the ECV or wheelchair to the unload area.

the exit ramp is pretty steep. However there are/should be manual chairs in the holding/waiting area if she cannot walk up the ramp. I can usually get away with using the handrail.
