I've never been to this, so I don't know exactly how it works, but I read in a guidebook that the theater turns into a ride and the theater is divided into 97 passanger vehicles. My question is if my 3 yr. old is sitting next to me, is there a chance she could be seperated from me due to the way the theater is divided? :confused3

no. there are 3 very large cars. and you see when walking in how they are divided.

No there is no way she will be separated from you. You sit in rows and can clearly tell where one "car" starts and the next begins. Just make sure if your DD is sitting next to the edge of the car that she watches her fingers and legs when they close the doors on the end of the row. My DD loved this ride. She sat right on the end and thought it was neat how the doors closed and made big cars for the rest of the ride. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

No. When you sit down in the theatre, there are three very distinct sections. The whole section will move together, so you can't be separated from your child.

Imagine walking into a theater, with an aisle seperating the different sections. Each section will move by itself, but everyone in that section stays together. This won't be a problem for you.

With a small child make sure to take a bathroom break just before this one! It's like 45 minutes long and I don't think you can exit during the ride.

Oh.

NOW I see where you got confused.

It does NOT mean 97 passenger-vehicles (not 97 vehicles.)

It means 97-passenger vehicles (that is 3 vehicles, that EACH hold 97 passengers per vehicle.

Just a quick note. I love this ride, but it does have some dark (no light) scenes & it can be LOUD in places. My DD (11 @ the time) did not like this ride because of the LOUD dinosaurs. She says she wants to do it again, but will take ear plugs to muffle the noice.

You know your child, so if you think the loud noice might bother her I recommend ear plugs. (The soft kind that the sell at WALMART for swimmers for a few bucks work great) I would hate for her to be scaried, because there is nowhere to exit the ride & it is pretty long.

... good advice here. And I would add, if I may, that there are seperate moving sets of seats, two sections on each section of the theater. (You can see where the sections are, easily, when you enter.) For maxium impact seat your child in the last section on the right rear, but ON THE FIRST ROW ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT. This section will move last, and it is impressive to watch the theater split up. Also, on the right side the child will get the best view of the Dinos! I think this is one of the best designed of all the attractions at WDW.

Enjoy.
