I guess this is a spinoff of the breakfast thread.
I noticed a lot of people order eggs Benedict. I like them too, and I sometimes make them at home.
My question: Is your English muffin generally toasted? Or is it served plain/untoasted with the eggs on top?
The reason I ask is because there's a place I go to that serves them untoasted and I really don't like them that way. I definitely prefer my English muffin toasted!
(Wondering if this could be regional, too?

Seriously the English muffin should be toasted for eggs benedict because it gets all tasty when the hollandaise and egg yolk gets all runny on it. BTW, there is a package mix for hollandaise sauce made by Knorr which is very close to being as good as "from scratch" sauce.
