Question about ECB @ CVS

I'm new to CVSing - just got my ECB card yesterday. I've done a bunch of reading on how the system works, but I can't seem to find an answer to this question: are there other ECB deals in the store that AREN'T in the printed ad? In other words, if I didn't need anything from the ad that particular week, is it worth it to go to the story and wander around to see if there are other deals I could use?

Thanks!

CVS has monthly deals as well as the weekly ads so yes if you get the monthly book (Which is instore) then going to CVS anyways would be a good idea. I use hotcouponworld.com for CVS deals. There's a person on there who gets the ads WEEKS in advance. So you can plan weeks in advance and see what you'll need. Also with the ads out earlier you can buy coupons from Ebay. =)
My fav CVS site is hotcouponworld.com/forums/cvs They have a newbie board and a couple other CVS boards as well. Everyone on the site is very helpful!

Thanks to CVS I stockpiled enough Razors, Shampoo, Soap, Meds, and many other things that lasted me over a year. =) There are some great deals to be had with CVS =)

Sorry I couldn't do an actual link b/c I only had 8 posts. copy the addy and add in www in the beginning and it will take you right to the CVS forum =)
Hotcouponworld rocks for all other stores as well =)

You might want to look at iheartcvs dot com also. It has a list of deals and the monthly list. Also, the CVS thread here on the DIS is always a good spot to see what deals everyone is getting.

There used to be a monthly ad that you could only get in the store that had lots of ECB deals in it. They still do the monthly deals, but most of them are just sale prices now and don't generate ECB's. There are a few, but they are few and far between. Lately most of the ECB deals are the ones in the weekly ad.

During January they do something called Bonus Days where they have a bunch of items that are double packs or bonus packs and most of those do provide extra ECB's. Those usually aren't advertised in the weekly ads. They are in the seasonal section of the store usually. They are while supplies last.

I usually look at iheartcvs for the ads and to find hidden deals and things I miss.

This is another site that summarizes the CVS (and a bunch of others too) deals in a super easy to read format with links to printable coupon match ups. I like Hot Coupon World too, but this site is just so simple to use. She puts them up on Friday and you have to grab any printables you might want fast because they run out. I like that she tries to update it when they run out so you know w/o having to load the coupon site.

She also lists the upcoming Sunday's inserts.
