Question about DVCMEMBERS.COM

I recently purchased 160 pts at SSR. My use year is Dec. My guide/salesperson explained to me that I will not have any points until Dec 06 however when I view my account on the website it shows that I have 160 points for the 2005 use year that will expire Nov 30, 2006 and 160 more will be available Dec 06. Any one else who recently purchased have this occur?

If I actually have 160 available now I will gladly go for a few days.

Wish I could answer that one for you. I'd call my guide or Member Services for clarification.

I agree with magicmommy. I would definitely call MS and ask about this. Better to be safe than sorry.

I emailed MS this morning but have not gotten a reply. I will give them a call if I do not hear back from them by tomorrow evening.

I just looked at my points and found the same thing - I don't think I am supposed to have 2005 points, so I'm guessing it's a glitch on the website. I have a reservation for Disneyland in Janary that is showing as using 2005 points. However, January is my 2006 use year, and the points were never banked since we just joined this month. If they really are 2005 points, and I have 56 remaining that have to be used by 11/30/06, I guess we're going somewhere for a weekend.

Let me know what you find out though.

We recently added 225 points. My guide had stated that they would not be available until the Dec. 2006 use year due to the incentive pricing I had chosen. When I went to the website my summary showed that I had 225 points in my Dec. 2005 use year. Unfortunately when I called Member Services, they looked up my balance and confirmed that the website was in error.

I received a reply from Member Services and they are only showing that I have the 160 pts coming Dec. 06.

Hi... we are new DVC members also and I noticed that on our account as well. I called MS and they stated that the computer systems thinks that we (new owners) have always been members and doesn't know the difference between new and past. I thought we had some points from DVC themselves that we could use before our Year starts in Dec. 2006 since our closing date was Nov.2007--secretly hoping for a quick trip but darn it not the case...
