Question about drinking age & beverage tastings

We are traveling in February with a 20 almost 21 year old. When we cruised on NCL with a 20 year old, they let his mom sign a paper that said he can drink onboard. They only allowed this once we left Florida. Does anyone know if Disney allows this sort of thing on their ships?

Disney allows parents to give permission for children under 21 to drink alcohol with the parent on European cruises, but I do not think that is permitted on Caribbean cruises.

what about on cruises into Canada, where legal drinking age is 19, and my son is 19?

Based on this DCL page, it seems to be based on where the ship is sailing from, not which ports it is going to. In any case it’s fairly clear it applies only to European home ports.

I had an almost 21 and it was no way an option. I also had my DD turn 21 on the ship and it was amazing!

I wish she was turning 21 on the cruise. That would be amazing!
