only if you downgrade resort to a value resort.
Did you look at maybe betting a room discount instead, and just paying cash for the QSDP? Don't know if there's decent discounts out for Dec. yet, but could be a room discount on a moderate might save you more anyway.
People keep reporting that you can use a TS at a CS...I think this is a bit misleading, because it is not always so (and nowhere in the brochure does it say this is how the dining plan works. The Deluxe plan, yes -- meal credits can be used at either TS or CS...but the regular dining plan, no: specifies 1 TS & 1 QS, 1 Snack per night per person.) We've been doing the dining plans for years, and that exchange being allowed has not been our experience at all, except during the Aug-September
free dining (when they had signs up about it due to a shortage of TS) The rest of the time, it's not so easy. We have been behind people in line at cash register in the parks while people tried to talk them into taking a TS credit...were flat out told No, the system would not allow it.
We have seen people allowed to use TS at resort counter service, but a manager type came over & did some sort of over-ride on the cash register.
