Question about doing a character meal on dining plan and putting card hold

We have the free dining plan booked and we want to do a character breakfast at the crystal palace. Do they place a hold for the 20 bucks against my account or is it just in i case don't show? So if i only have that 20 bucks on my card is it still available to use or is it being held till i show up? Thanks i hope i am making sense..lol.

Nothing is charged unless you cancel too late or you don't show up.

Also to note, if you're bad like me and happen to have $0 (or less!) on that card, it will fail the validation portion. When you enter the CC# in, it places a temporary $1 charge (it gets removed). If it can't do that due to you being bad at using the right card (like I was ), it won't go through.
