Question about DME pickup (resort change)

Fro our trip in May we will be staying at AKV from the 5th-11th, on the 11th we move to CSR for one night, checking out on the 12th.

My wife brought this up tonight. The day before you check out you will receive your pickup time for DME for the following day. Seeing we are moving resorts, when will we receive this? Will we get it at AKV (the day we checkout)? Will it be given to us when we check in at CSR? Or will I need to call the 1800 number once checked in at CSR to get this info? I am probably overthinking this, but was just curious.

You can register, with DME, for both these reservations. In fact, once you do, you will probably get two different mailings..one for your arrival resort, one for your last resort. When you get to MCO and check in at the podium for your bus, upon arrival, you can ask what they show for your departure info. If there is nothing showing, you can reserve that when you get to the resort. I would ask at the first resort, AKL, and see if they can add it for you. If not, you should be able to get it done at CSR, but do it as soon as you get there. DME says they want to know 24 hrs prior to your flight.

Whatever method you use to make your reservation for Magical Express from your final resort back to the airport, you need to obtain the bus time reservation paper as soon as possible on the day before the day you leave Disney,

This may possibly require going to the final resort first thing in the morning rather than head directly to the parks. (You might be able to have someone at your final resort fax the paper to where you are standing --- provided the paper exists at the moment!) This may possibly mean taking a siesta to go to or return to the final resort to pick up that paper if it was not ready in the morning.

You can't* pick up the paper the night before the day before the day you will check out and go home. So if the paper isn't ready or otherwise does not appear the morning of the day before the day you will check out, the situation turns into a fire to fight (i.e. an emergency on your part resulting from inattentiveness on someone else's part) in a matter of minutes.

* Or can you? Like any prior CM including the CM at the DME welcoming area at MCO can issue you DME going home vouchers with bus departure time and that are binding on the bus driver?
