Question about DL hotel discounts

We just got back from DL and I am wanting to book for next Thanksgiving. If I book now and they announce a discount at a later date, can I add it or rebook given if room category is available? It states discounts can't be applied to previously booked rooms, but I thought I had read sometime ago that you could call and apply a discount when it gets released.

I have always been able to have a CM to apply the special to a current reservation.
If at the time you can't then simply BOOK at the special rate and cancel the first reservation.

FYI...
This year Disney announced Room Specials on Wednesday, September 6th for Oct 22nd to Dec 21st.
Here's a link to my notice of the Promotion

If Disney follows the same pattern this might be when the special will appear for your dates.

Thanks for the info! Once I read "not valid on previously booked rooms", I didn't even try to call and didn't want to go through rebooking.

Another question, do you think a 2 bed suite would be considered a "premium" room in Disney's room category?

My....My... you should always call and give it a try. The CM's that have help in the past have always been so kind.

Good luck with a promotion for next Thanksgiving time.
