Is there a limit how many Disney reward dollars you can earn?

yes, if I remember right, it says that it is capped at $750.00 in a year.

(It may have changed) access your account on-line and go to the Disney rewards link for access to your specific account info!

Thanks, GP! I will do that. I actually tried that first and had trouble so I asked here where someone knows the answer to every question out there! ;) Whatever the limit is, I'll hit it!!

oh my! I just looked this up on the website and got a question and answer thingee...

Q: Is there a limit to the number of reward dollars I can earn?
A: There is no limit to the number of reward dollars you can earn in this program.

This is good news for me right now! I am very excited if this is the case.
I paid my dentist with my Disney visa and received 250. DRD. (I had extensive, expensive work done this spring!) I decided to pay with the card to earn DRD and now I have also purchased windows for the whole house on there. I think this will pay for a new AP or something...yay!!!

Yeah.. I was going to say, no limit!

I called and asked that a few months ago and he said "Due to customer feedback, we did away with the limit on the reward dollars!"

I was very excited, too!

I've put almost all our house repairs on our card (including brand new furnace, ductwork and AC) and all my medical co-pays for baby and such and we've got enough to pay for the dining plan on our trip! :)

:banana::cheer2::banana:

Yay for you too!! That's a lot of DRD! I'm excited to be able to do this because I hate spending money but this easesthe pain quite a bit--esp. since I can pay it off at the end of each month! If I couldn't, I'd be sick.:scared:

Thanks for the reese cup. I think i'll nickname you "meaness". ;)

That baby sure is a sweetie though!!!

Yeah, same thing with us. DH thinks I'm crazy that I paid for medical stuff with the Disney Visa then requested the money back from the Healthcare FSA. Then I told him we had enough to pay for food and he got it! :rotfl:

Meaness? Awe, you shouldn't have! haha.

Yeah, he is a sweetie for sure... I don't know who he gets it from... :rotfl:

Then again, there is this picture:

...which strikes fear in my heart for later. There is a look in his eye...

Yeah, he is thinking of all the evil plots for the future. haha He really is such a beautiful baby boy and I love the name Lucas. :)

shows how much I pay attention to credit card stuff!

I did earn enough last year to pay for our AP's at DLR, and buy all our souvineers at WDW, plus some left over!

COOL OP, go crazy, because hey, its for Disney!!!!

hehehehehe

I have a question about Disney Visa. We're thinking of getting one. Right now, I use an airline card that gives me one mile for every dollar spent. I'm sitting on 5 tickets to Europe as I type. (Been saving for a while.)

I thought Disney Visa gave something like one Reward dollar for every $100 spent. For me to get $250 in Reward dollars, wouldn't I have to charge $25,000 on that card? I know sometimes you can rack up double/triple miles during special promotions, but how do you manage to get enough to pay for free dining for a trip, etc.?

I'm trying to determine if it's worth changing to a Disney Visa for the bulk of our charges. Any info is appreciated! :thumbsup2

Yes, you are correct - it's $1 for every $100 spent. It does take quite a bit to rack up a lot of points, but I've used the referral feature to get a couple of $25 "chunks" of dollars.

Right now, I'm sitting on over $1,000 Disney Dollars :cool1: It's a combination of referrals, putting every single penny on the card each month, and the 5X rewards promo (I finally got my first one!). I've been using the card for over 2 years and haven't yet redeemed any yet... saving up for a trip hopefully next summer! And, at this rate, I can almost pay for the entire trip. :cloud9:

My dental bill was about 9000 and my rewards were 228. I had 22 dollars earned already.

EMom, I think your airline tickets earned is wonderful!!

Maybe someday I'll get to Europe. My flights now are all to WDW, which at this point in time are all cheaper (ie. Allegiant and Airtran), and those tickets are pretty cheap. So, for us, getting reward dlollars to spend while there makes more common sense and it is always fun to have "free money" at WDW. ;)

Wow! 1,000 in points, won't you have fun?!!! :woohoo:

I've never done the 25.00 or the 5% thing, although I should.

I used points in Jan. and again in March so I have always had like between $50. and $150. per trip to spend and that was fun. I can't imagine 1,000 but I may find out since I'm building! I should have thought of this sooner in the process but oh well.
I don't put everything else on my CC--I'm just too chicken. I sporadically use it here and there, every now and then.

I have been putting EVERYTHING on the card lately, including closets we had installed and our dd's braces! So this trip coming up we will have over $800 reward dollars:cool1:

for a $9000 charge, you should have received 90 reward dollars :confused3(1 reward dollar for every $100 charged) Are you getting an extra reward incentive this month?? I just charged DD's tuition for $7700 and I got 77 reward dollars:confused3

I don't know. I just went to visit the website and could not access it right now. I don't think there is a special incentive I am signed up for, I don't remember signing up for anything. To earn 228--hey wait a minute-- maybe they talley them up differently than I was thinking (time wise). I think my next big purchase is already added in!! Roughly would be 230 DRD for the total of both together. I think you are right, that does make more sense. It is a new CC purchase that I haven't been billed for yet but it must of already be tallied in.

Thanks! I knew something wasn't adding up and I knew there surely wouldn't be an incentive for charging dental work, LOL!!

We were never allowed to charge school tuition to CC (bummer). This was private school tuiton, btw, not college.

JESW, have fun spending those points!

well, however it works out, at least you have nice chunk of reward dollars to use for your next trip! I love that DD's college allows charging to a cc with no fees! :woohoo:Getting the cc rewards the only thing I like about paying her tuition ;)

I do the same thing with my and DH's tuition!

I also have DH's braces set up to bill automatically every month to that card.. like a PP mentioned. :thumbsup2

Gotta love the rewards!
