Question about Disney Dining Plan 2020

I have a question about the Disney Dining Plan for 2020.

Hi everyone. I have a question about DDP pricing. If we are going to be staying at Disney World in 2020, but we wish to purchase the Dining Plan now, all that is available are the 2019 prices.

So, can we buy it now? Do we pay the current price?

If we buy it at 2019 prices, what happens if they raise their DDP costs? Do we get counted as having paid in full? Do we get the benefit of not having to pay the additional costs? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

If you already have a resort reservation for 2020, you can purchase the dining plan to go along with that reservation now at current prices. You cannot purchase the DDP if you do not have resort reservations.

Also, if you do have resort reservations and add the ddp at current prices...and later change your resort reservations after the ddp prices increase, you'll be charged the new ddp prices.

Another thing to consider... if you book now you are paying full rack rate, plus dining plan 2019 rates without a discount. If/when discounts come out you will be rebooking with the new rate, and therefore rebooking the DDP.

Not a deal-breaker, but something to consider.

Yes, for those paying cash, but for those who are DVC and are booking for next year, this is also good information to know.

Travel agents have discounts right now for the end of the year. Plus, historically speaking, Disney always has discounts. Maybe not for a specific hotel or for a specific deal like free dining, but there's always something.
