Question About DIS Welcome Center

So we are heading to our first cruise on the Fantasy today!! Our boarding time isn't until 12 but we have to drop the rental car off at Enterprise around 10:30. Is the welcome center within walking distance of Enterprise? We were thinking of dropping our luggage off at the port, returning the car and walking to the welcome center to hang out for a little while. Then we could take a taxi back to the port closer to our arrival time. Does anyone know if we could do this? Is the Enterprise rental place far from the welcome center?

I don't know about Enterprise, but it wasn't much further down from the Dollar rental location, like 500 feet or so.

If I could get away with bringing Klaus, you know he would be there in a heartbeat!!!

He could wear is DISUnplugged shirt and greet you as you came in the door, but alas, you will just see me most days, working hard and being as welcoming as I can...

Aw come on! You can't convince Pete that klaus should be allowed?
I would think most people would love it! We had an office cat and people loved it. Even the ppl with allergies were cool with it.

Lol If Klaus had been there he would have been coming on the cruise with us because my DD LOVES cats but we can't have any because I'm allergic to them. DH ended up walking from the car rental place right over to the welcome center with no problems - it was super close. We DID have an issue getting a cab which really surprised me. A 15 minute wait turned into almost an hour so I cancelled it and had my parents pick us up! Teresa and Walter were awesome and didn't seem to mind that we camped out for so long! Great hosts. We had a wonderful cruise and we'll definitely stop by again next time.

PS.. LOVED the DU baskets!! We used our mugs every day.
