Question about Dinning credits

Last year was the first year since we started going to WDW that we didn't make it there and I know they change things from time to time and just want to make sure I am correct about the Dinning Credits. On the regular dinning plan,isn't the amount of credits you get depends on the number of nights you are staying? And also can you still carry over any unused credits,even if it's the day you're leaving? I know we get one table,one counter and one snack per person,but if we are they for 6 nights,7 days, we should get it for the amount of nights,not days we are there,correct? I remember calling to the front desk years ago and that's what we were told.Also we've always used our credits on the day we were leaving also if we had any left over.Just want to see if they've changed anything since we were there last time.Thanks

Yep, it's still the same. 6TS, 6CS and 6 snacks and you can use them as you see fit.
