Hello: Here's a question I hope you can help with.
I have a ADR for dinner at an Epcot restaurant for 7 persons. I now find out the group will be 4 people. I'd like to change the # of persons in advance so the restaurant can offer the space to another guest, but when I called I was told I had to cancel the entire reservation and rebook. I asked if there was a possibility I could lose the reservation while this was taking place and was told yes, there was a possibility. It's a very popular Epcot restaurant that I made months ago so I think that could happen and I would be heartbroken. I'd like to do the right thing but Disney doesn't make this easy to help.
My question is: did the castmember give me the right info? Or, is there a way I can modify the # with the online system. Or, should I just notify the restaurant of the different # when we arrive to check in so someone waiting for a no show can hop in.
