Hello all, Iam in a bit of a pickle. I have a vacation coming up in a week in a half. We have planned this for the past six months and are staying at a 2 bedroom villa a Wilderness Lodge. Here is the problem, it was supposed to be 6 of us. We have reservations for 6 at several restaurants throughout the world. Unfortunately due to the bad fires last week In Colorado 4 members of my family are not going to be able make the trip. Should I keep my reservations for 6 even though it’s only 2 of us now? I have tried to change them , but none of our restaurants are available now. PS we made them all at the 60 day mark and they are all very popular restaurant’s. Any insight would be helpful. Thank You. Jim.

I hate the idea of taking up a bigger table but if the system is unable to let you change then I say yes, keep them. There's no penalty for showing up with fewer people, only for not showing up at all. If you can and it's not hours long waits, you could try to call and see if they can do any adjustments over the phone, or even at the Concierge desk once you arrive.

In my experience, you are able to modify the number of people when you check in online (on the app). I, personally, wouldn't make any changes now and would wait until check in time on all of the reservations. At that point it might open up one extra table for someone elses party of four who's looking for a last minute reservation.

So sad about your family's situation in Colorado.

^^This! OP, if you can't modify to 2 guests now, just wait until you can do mobile check-in (should open on the app 20 minutes prior to each reservation). When you do mobile check in, it asks how many guests are in your party, so you can just put 2 guests in at that time. If you have trouble with mobile check-in, simply tell the host/hostess at the check-in stand. You will be fine arriving with fewer guests. I am so sorry about the situation with the fires in CO. I hope you enjoy your trip.

Agree, that when you check in, let them know that there are only 2 of you. That will free up the larger table.
Currently, wait times to call are so long, it isn't worth calling to have Disney Dining change it for you.

I would keep trying to modify it in advance in case it comes up, but as others have said just go and tell them only two of you could make it If you can't get it to change.
