Hi everyone :wave2: :wave2:

It's my understanding that you have to have the dining plan for every day of your stay (please correct me if I'm wrong).... so I was just wondering about a split stay... can you do dining plan for just one part of the split??? If so, can you use the credits for the whole stay???

Hope I didn't confuse anyone! :confused3

I too am doing a split - as I understand it you can only do the dining plan to the hotel that you have booked the dining plan and park tickets, as you book your park tickets as well.

I am planning to go to AKL for 5 nights and 2 at GF. So we can only do the plan for 5. I understand that the dining plan expires at midnight on the day that you leave so in otherwords we are able to use the fifth meal up to midnight on the day we leave AKL - you cant take it any longer than that - they expire at midnight on the day that you check out!

I am booked for a split stay for my trip next year and have a 10 day park hopper pass & a 10 day dining plan. I'll check with my AAA agent tomorrow to see how this split stay works for passes & dining and will post again.

From this post

We were having the same problem. We are planning a summer trip and decided to stay at CSR for 5 nights then move to BC for 5 more nights. We wanted to buy a 10 day park hopper to cover the entire stay AND I really wanted dining the entire stay!!! I KNEW there had to be a way that we didn't have to buy 2 park tickets since we were following all their rules, park ticket, on site, etc.......So I sent an e-mail stating the above info and received a call back from guest services. They said the computer system is set up this way and that it needs an override (CRO can't do this) to get what I needed. I guess it's not that often that people want a split stay, tickets and dining... Anyway, they set me up and I now have dining the entire stay without having to pay for 2 tickets. They told me that when I ran into this problem (on the 800#) I could have asked for guest services and they would accomidate me. Guest services # is 407-939-7657. It took some work, but I did get what I wanted and they were very pleasant to work with. Hope this helps!!! :flower3:

Called my AAA agent today after receiving my paperwork. She said that with split stays, they split both the park hopper passes, as well as the dining. I am at Port Orleans French Quarter for 3 nights & the Wilderness Lodge for 6 nights. As the whole trip is for 10 days, WDW Travel Co. split the park hopper passes as 5 days on one reservation and 5 days on the other. The dining was split as 4 days on one ressie and 6 days on the other ressie.

I need to call her again, because I am not sure how they can split the park passes as 5 & 5, when the stay times are different.

Can you only do this if you booked directly through CRO or can this be done by a travel agent?

I have a room only ressie for 4/22 (last day of peak season) and a 6-night ressie for 4/23-29 which includes tickets and dining. I've been trying to figure out a way to add dining and ticket to first day since we'll be arriving about 1 pm. So after reading this thread, I called that phone # and it just asks for the extension I want. If I don't enter anything, nothing happens. So I called CRO and asked for guest services. She wanted to know why I wanted to speak with guest services and I explained my dilemma and what I had read here on this thread (about the computer system at CRO not being set up to handle a split ressie when you also wanted tickets and dining and not having to pay for a single day ticket and also a 6-day ticket). After explaining over and over and over, she finally put me on hold and when she came back said it can't be done. I once again asked her to please just transfer me to guest services and she said she could not do that because she had just spoken to them and they told her no. I'm just trying to save the extra $20 per night for the last 6 days. Any ideas?

They can split the passes because even w/o the "no expiration" added to them they are good for 14 days after you activate your pass. They can't split the dinner plan this way because the dinner plan expires at mn of the day you check out.

You may want to consider the charge of the two five day tickets charge ($741.00 X 2/per person) v. the charge of one 10 day pass ($798.76 X1/per person). It may be more economical to get the 10 day pass on your first split and then add one basic ticket (even one ticket would qualify you for the dining plan) on your second stay. That is what we are doing on our split.
