When is the Pop Warner chaos taking place? Any idea when the Christmas parade is filmed? Or when it is usually filmed...

Christmas is an AWESOME time to visit WDW (if you dont mind the crowds)
Anyway, the parade is usually taped early Dec. (like Nov. 30-Dec. 3-ish) We went one day not knowing that they were taping performances and saw Beyonce! It was awesome! have fun!

The POP Warner group will be there from 12/07-12/13/08. They usually are there the first week, but since they arrive on a Sunday & this first week the Sunday falls on Thanksgiving weekend, they chose the 2nd week instead. Make sense???

The parade taping starts on 12/05/08 to 12/07/08.

We will be there at Wilderness Lodge from 11/30/08 to 12/07/08-- I hope this helps!!

Should MK be avoided on the days the parade is filmed? It looks like I should be safe with the pop warner group as they arrive the day before I leave. I'm hoping we made the right decision to go in early Decemember- everything I've ever read said the crowds are low.

IMO it's best to avoid MK during the Saturday of taping and the PW kids have almost no affect on park crowds except at MGM on that Wednesday which is the night they get the park to themselves.
