Question About DDP Appetizers

On the Disney menus I've looked at, there's a section for "appetizers" and also a section for "soups/salads" and I was wondering, on the DDP, can you order a soup or salad and count it as an appetizer, or on the DDP do only the "appetizers" listed on the menu count as an appetizer?

I have on many occasions ordered soup or a salad instead of a traditional app. I don't think its a problem.

Phew, that's a relief! Sometimes I just want a nice fresh salad, not a heavy order of crabcakes or something!

Haha ohhhh believe me, I will for sure be indulging! I just happen to be more of a sweet than savory person... So while I can sometimes pass up fried or cheesy things, I will NEVER forgo dessert!
