I am trying to decide if we should use the DCL bus from the airport to the port. We arrive about 10am. My question is do the buses also stop at the Disney resorts on the way or do they go direct from the airport to the port? We have always used FL Tours in the past for our transportation but with the new boarding policy, I am wondering if we should try it. Thoughts??

Airport to port, port to airport. But can't help you decide as I am using them for the first time on my June 24th cruise.

A separate set of buses leave from WDW to go to the port starting at 11:30. The airport buses go straight to the port and start leaving about 9:30.

The beauty of taking the bus from MCO is that you can fully check in for your cruise at the airport's Magical Express desk and receive your KTTW cards (if you are a U.S. citizen). All you have to do at the port is wait for your boarding number to be called.

Very convenient.

Thanks MJ. That sounds great. We are going to try it!!

Check in at the welcome center is a HUGE perk of using DCL transfers. The other perk is that you don't have to claim your luggage--place the DCL tags on the luggage before you leave home. Your luggage will never even go to the baggage claim carousel--it is claimed by Disney before it even gets there. You will see it at the door to your cabin. If you use a private limo service, you must claim bags and take them to the limo driver.

The bus will run directly from MCO to the cruise terminal. You will not wait more than 30 minutes for a bus--they depart when full OR every 30 minutes, whichever is less. If your timing is good, you might not wait at all! If not so good, max waiting is 30 minutes.

Does anyone know if you can book a one way DCL transfer? We only need the way to the port and are renting a car on the return.

I booked it as a one way transfer only. I believe it was $30 per person. We will use a car service to get to the airport after the cruise as we have in the past.

Transfers at Port Canaveral are $35 each way. There have been other rates in the past at some other ports.

As above, off site check in is available only at MCO (not at Disney resorts). But you will have no waiting when the bus gets you to the terminal--check in, board, and have lunch.

Thank you all!!

Last cruise we took a limo but due to the new boarding policy, we're also using DCL transfers. We're flying in the night before the cruise and staying at the Hyatt. Hoping to catch an early bus as soon as we check in at ME.
