When you go to a restaurant that is cafeteria (sp?) style like Everything Pop, do you go and order your meal, then go to the dessert counter and order your dessert and then "cash" out?

I know, it's a dumb question.

It's not a dumb question. :)

That's correct.

There are actually several food stations, so depending on what you order, you may have to go through several lines.

There's also desserts in the grab & go section if you don't want to go through that line.

Bottled drinks are also in that area. Fountain drinks are after the cashiers.

It is actually an important question. Generally, at CS eateries, you do have to get your entire meal, including dessert, before you "cash out". There are a few CS eateries where they'll provide you with a token to bring back to get your dessert after you're finished eating the rest of your meal, but you need to ask them about this before you "cash out".

Well thank you for your insite.

I had read in another thread that at a CS the cashier allowed them to come back for the dessert after they had finished the meal, and it was a good idea if you were getting something like ice cream.

Anytime I've gotten a dessert at a CS was at a place where the dessert choice was on the menu at a single location, like Columbia Harbour House.

Again, thank you.

Yes, indeed, some CS allow that, but be sure that you check with the CM in advance, and secure a token before your credit is charged.
