My husband and I are going to Universal/IOA from October 29th-31st so we can use our season passes for a few days before we go on our cruise out of miami. I've never been to Universal during the HHN nights, and am worried about how the crowds will be during the day time. What are the crowds like on those days before/on Halloween? Is it really crowded at the parks in the daytime? We aren't going to HHN but plan on being at the two parks all day before they start.

during the day, the park crowds won't be that bad until 3ish on the weekends.

go to the parks early, do the rides and shows so you can avoid crowd lines for those items.

use the stay and scream holding area and get a head start on the houses for hhn.

saturdays always has crowds in the parks.

if you are going each night, consider buying the epp for saturday night.

for the other two nights, do what you can at hhn before the lines get to an hour wait.
you can leave and go back the next night to do the things you didn't accomplish the night before.

halloween night, meaning the end of the season dates, has not been extremely crowded in some years when it falls away from the weekend.
this year 10/31 is a saturday.
