I love to scrapbook with glitter paper, but it is ruining my mats very quickly! After a few uses, there is a bunch of glitter stuck to the mat. Once the glitter is all over, other things won't stick to it. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so, have you found any solutions?

All the time!! Just try wiping them down with a baby wipe, letting it dry and then using a re positionable glue like Zig glue and letting it "dry". I also have one designated glitter mat. HTH.

Oh wow, that sounds easy enough! Thank you very much. Can I find Zig glue at JoAnns or Michaels?

I found it on eBay! Thank you so very much. I am looking forward to saving a bundle of money! :woohoo:

Yes you can and you can use a coupon. Did you get the one with the big tip? it works the best. Also there are a few threads on here on using different glues to re-sticky mats.

I have a specific mat, like the poster above, that I use for glitter paper only because I find that the glitter messes up the mat faster than regular cardstock. It is less sticky than my regular mats for sure. I will each use regular tape on the edge of the paper to fasten the paper to the mat sometimes.

I thought glitter paper was bad to cut with the cricut. I read where it dulls the blade plus the glitter messes up blade holder so never tried it. You guys don't have any problmes with that???

It does dull your blades pretty fast but I have never heard of it messing up the blade holder. :confused3

I would imagine if the blade was used after it was dulled it might cause problems with the blade housing.
