Question about CP reservation made with Hotel Kingom

Made our reservations for Cypress Pointe through hotel kingdom. I have read in other posts that Hotel kingdom does not pass along your special requests to CP so I did not bother to list them. The posts said that they just contacted CP directly with their requests. However, in my confimation is said this "PLEASE NOTE: Resort’s computers at front desk will not show your reservation until day of arrival. If you have received confirmation please rest assured that you are confirmed." So...if they have no record of my reservation until the day I arrive, how do I make a room request? I'm positive that the posts I read were for people who also made their res. through HK so I'm sure there's a way to do this, just not sure how. Thanks

That may be true of other resorts that Hotel Kingdom allows you to book but it is not true of Cypress Pointe. I had a little computer meltdown and had to call Cypress Pointe to get my confirmation numbers and stuff. They had complete records for my stay and I'm not due to arrive until June 5th. They do have you in their computers before you arrive but I don't know for sure how soon after you book they get it. It may take a day or two after you book with Hotel Kingdom.

The info is under contacts. We got a return email saying that our request (for a ground floor room) was noted. And when we checked in, we got our request!

We called CP directly 1 week before check in with our room requests. We also did so on our HK ressie. We were given our first request (1st floor) but not garden view (we looked into the parking lot).
