Question about concierge level at Swan

My first question....did I spell it correctly?? Next....we've got teacher rates for the Swan for 12/07 through 12/13. Is there a concierge level at the Swan for teacher rates? Does anyone know what the rate would be?

Yes! You spelled it correctly! I believe the rate for the Swan concierge was 214 when I was reserving my room at the teacher rate. They didn't have my dates open for the concierge level so I am still trying. The Dolphin rates were about 15 dollars cheaper due to the renovations not being finished at the Dolphin. I hope this helps!

Hockeymom...where are you from? I was a hockeymom for many years, from squirts through to the Edmonton organization. They were some of the best years of our lives!!
You're right!! The Swan is great, we stayed there last November, celebrating our daughter's 30th birthday. The whole family, including the "Hockey" brother who is now 36, had a great time. We can't wait to go back. I'm going to call this morning and find out if there is concierge level for our timeperiod.

WOW! I am impressed! THE BIG GAME! "We're" second year squirts, so we have far to go! Growing up in the Detroit area, its the only game in town, and everyone (ok, almost) plays! I am actually way north of there, and my ds plays out of various rinks in the Flint area as it is the closest ice, although we usually are between seven counties during the regular season. You know the drill.. DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!

I hope you manage to snag concierge level! It is not as elaborate as the Disney concierge, but it also doesn't cost as much! Thabo and MommaT are fantastic up in the club lounge. I had read so much about them on the boards, but was still just blown away! DD17 and DS10 loved the lounge, and the fact they were able to snack in between meals so they'd "make it" to dinner time. I thought it was a great place to have a small snack, a diet coke, and take a pop and a cookie back to the room for a midnight snack later in the night. I am still trying to get the right room on concierge level for our Easter dates.

I am still blown away by the NHL comment! Bravo to your brother!

He's my son. He started out as a squirt and skated up a couple of levels, then moved onto a private high school for two years and then a prep school for his senior year and PG year. Most of his schooling was paid for by scholarship so the driving and early mornings were definately worth it. He signed a letter of intent over Thanksgiving of his PG year , did one year in college and was drafted by the Edmonton org. He played junior then minor but never made it to the big time. Canada was very cold, much more than New England and he only gave it a couple of years before he called it a career......came home, got married and had five children. That's why we spend so much time at WDW. They love it and it's so much fun to take them along. I'm hoping we can hook up with concierge level this trip. I'll let you know how we make out. Good talking with a fellow "Hockey Mom"!!

Congrats again to you and your son! I will have to pass your story on to the people who think their ten year old is too old to start hockey! I say, if they want to play, let them play! A child shouldn't be restrained because he is "too" old to start! You're never too old to start!

I am also the team manager, although thankfully the billing will NOT go through me this year! Yeah! Last night I had to calm a mother down after she saw the ice bill payments that will be due starting in ten days. I didn't have the heart to tell her that last year's upfront payment was bigger! It was my first year and I was trying to keep the budget straight! I am sure you have seen worse ice bills, and I am due for worse in the coming years!
