Ok - so it must be fate. :) I had two ressies, one for 9:40am and one for 10:00am on the same day for Donald's Safari. I got both, and was going to ask my husband which one he thought would be better. Both are for 2 adults, one child.

Well, my parents FINALLY agreed that they thought they could endure the heat and walking for a couple of days and go to Disney with us for part of the time (yay!)

So....I"m wondering. Can I just take one of the reservations, and take off the one child, and ask a reservation specialist to sort of "merge" them? haha!

What do you guys think? (they are closed for the day, I"m just so curious!)

Not 100% on this but i dont think that will work. I know when we went down last time i tried to get them to add one person the our reservation. Then could not do that they had to cancel our reservation and then make a new one. Also the same thing has to be done to change the time of the reservation. So i really dont think you can do that. Just call down and see what they can do. Worst case senario you can always ask at the desk when you get to the resturant. Thats what we had to do for all of our reservations when we tried to add one more person and all but the castle were able to acomidate.

Good Luck

You're not allowed to have 2 reservations at the same place so close together. Disney might cancel BOTH, so you need to go in and cancel one before that happens.

I don't think the 'merging' of ADR's is possible. You can try making a new ADR for the whole party and if you can get that, cancel the one for the smaller party.
