Question about combination reservation--cash and points

Hey everyone,

I have a question--

In November I have a 3 night reservation on cash followed by a week on points. My points reservation is for a Hospitality House OKW 1 Bedroom. My cash reservation is just a 1 bedroom.

Will it be possible for them to keep me in the same room? If there is no chance of remaining in the same one bedroom, I may switch my cash reservation to a studio to save some money since I will have to move anyway.

I'm sure it's possible. I would call DVC and find out for sure or the Resort directly.

I didn't think they book "near HH" for cash reservations. So unless there is an open room, you probably will have to move.

That's my understanding as well. No cash reservations for HH area.

I can confirm this too since this is exactly what we wanted to do for our stay next week. I booked our weeknights on points and weekend nights on cash. They told me that the HH category is only available for points, not cash.

Now I just need to decide if I want to save money and go to a studio for the first three nights, or stay in a 1 bedroom but then move to the HH area once our points reservation starts.

Tough choice!
