Question about CM discount, making changes, etc.....

Hello! I have a couple of questions that hopefully someone can answer.....

I currently have a room-only reservation through the CM Friends and Family discount. However, when I made the reservation, my DM, DB, and DSiL were coming along as well--so I got a reservation for a 1-bedroom villa. Now my DB and DSiL are not able to come; meaning that my DM and I DEFINITELY don't need that much extra space. Also, since it is just me and DM now, we've decided to drop the last three days (of the 10) we were going to spend at WDW and go on a Disney cruise! So.... my question is: If I want to switch resorts and lower the number of nights for my reservation (and still maintain the CM discount), do I need to have the CM call to make the changes or am I able to do so myself? I've heard both answers in the past, so I'm confused as to which is correct.

Also--as for the "etc."--does anyone know if they are currently offering a CM discount on dining when added to a room-only reservation? I know they had it back in October when I went.... but I'm not certain if it is a regular thing or not.
