Question about Chef Mickeys and timing

I made an ADR for CM breakfast for 8:15 on our HS day the first week in December. The only other option they gave me was 7:15 and that is way too early for my family.

I know we probably won't be able to make rope drop which is okay (it's not an AM emh day) , but I'm just wondering in general how how long we can expect to be there. I'm not rushing us, believe me, just trying to plan for when we might make it to the park.

I would plan for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on how crowded it is, how much time you want to interact with the characters, and how many times you plan to go back to the buffet...

If it's not too busy, and you don't want to wait to see all the characters, I think you could be out of there in 60 minutes. From that point, you would need to go downstairs to the lobby, out the doors to the bus stop, and catch the bus. You might expect to wait for the bus anywhere from 5 to 15 or 20 minutes, then the travel time to DHS. Long story short, a minimum of 90 minutes total IMO. Chef Mickey's is a lot of fun!! It's one of our fav's!!

Well, it sounds like this is not going to be a "get thee to the park early" day, now is it? Oh, well. Hopefully we can at least get there by 9:45 and just utilize fastpasses like crazy.

Or maybe I should see if anyone wants to swap with me and try to get an earlier time. Hmmm......
