Question about Chef Mickey for Breakfast

Hello! I have a friend who is planning her WDW trip for next February. Since we are going in October, we often chat about our plans.

She was telling me that she called to get info about some of the restaurants, and was told that, at Chef Mickey, there is a show with songs and dancing. We have eaten at CM twice, but for dinner both times. Is the breakfast different? For dinner, we did see the characters and customers wave napkins for a certain song, but that was basically it. Am I missing something?

I thought I'd ask because she is expecting a little more for her breakfast than I think she'll get at most places. I was telling her about the princess breakfasts, and that the princesses come by your table to meet you and take pics. She didn't think her girls would be excited by that, and was hoping for something more. Her girls are 6 and 5. I thought that most character meals were like this. Are there any with a special show (other than the expensive dinner shows)? She's one of those people who told me about her last trip, saying she went to the World, but was only referring to Magic Kingdom. I would like her to really experience the magic this time.

So, are breakfasts (or any of the regular character meals) set up for a special show? Or are they all basically like what we experienced, and loved?

TIA

No, there is no difference at breakfast. The characters will have everyone do the "napkin twirl" and they might do some cute interactions between each other--but no song and dance.

The only 'show' I know of at Chef Mickey's is the song/dance act that they do every 45mins. And yes, it's the one where everyone sings along and waves their napkins. (unless it has changed since last summer when we were there) Still, it's alot of fun so unless she has all girls, I would recommend CM's over the princess breakfast. We've done both and CM's was much better.

I can't help but wonder if she is getting Chef Mickeys confused with Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel in California :confused3 . At Goofy's, the characters come out and dance the Macarena with all the kids as well as do a little dance thru the restaurant with the kids as they all bang instruments. In fact, several of the character meals at Disneyland have the characters doing little dances and games with all the kids. Chef Mickey's does not. But it does not lack for entertainment or excitement!

Thank you all for your replies. I couldn't imagine I had missed something important like this in all of my planning.

I'll share more of these details with her. Now I'll have to add to my fun by doing more restaurant research for her :)
