Question about checked luggage

Okay, I never thought I'd need to know this, but I need to know if I can put a knife in my checked luggage? It's a cooking knife for my grandparents. Will I have a problem with this? Would it need to be packaged a certain way? TIA!

No problem in checked luggage. I would wrap it in some way in case your luggage is searched. You wouldn't want someone to reach in and get cut.
