My entire family (13 of us) are heading to Disney in October. Most of us are arriving thursday with 2 more coming on friday. Dh and I arrive first on thursday (9am), with my parents coming late afternoon. We will have three rooms at saratoga springs that night. Can I check in all three rooms? They were all booked on my DVC points, but obviously not all in my name. I know that if I check all rooms in when we get there, while they probably won't be avaible til later that day, they have a better chance of getting us rooms somewhat near each other. The next question is if I check in, I will need to pay for everyone's dining plan, which my mom will ultimately end of paying for. When she arrives, can they reverse the charges to me, and charge her credit card instead? (not a big deal if they can't...she will either have me wait to check in or reimburse me for the cost, but I know she would prefer to put it on her cc). Thanks in advance for your help! We are all very excited.

Okay,

You will be able to check in all 3 rooms if your name is on the reservation. Which it would be due to you are the DVC member. Bring your confirmation letter! Second, I would think you would not have to pay DDP as soon as you check in, just explain to the cm and I am sure they can wait till your mom arrives. Check on the DDP site, just in case this is wrong. Enjoy!

You will have to pay for the DDP for anyone on the reservation when you check in. Not sure if they will be able to cancel the charge on your credit card and put it on your mom's card.

Does that mean that one room is not yours until Friday, or is someone going to be in each room on Thursday?

If you will have someone from each room arriving on Thursday, someone from each room will need to check in. You can't put yourself on each room because you are already in one of the rooms. You could put your spouse in one room, another relative who will be arriving when you do on the third. But your dining credits will be mixed up because your spouse will now be assigned to the other room.

If all the credits for all 13 of you are pooled (and they may be with one reservation), it won't matter who is where.

We have three rooms (2 studios, one two-bedroom) for thursday and one more studio for friday. We obviously won't check in to that one until friday. I am not too concerned about the dining plan b/c we can always settle that on our own if we need to. The dining plan credits will be separated out by room. I booked all the rooms at the same time, but they each have their own reservation #. It sounds like we will just have to check-in at different times or wait until she gets there. I would just prefer not to have us split up all over the different sections of saratoga springs, but we all understand that it might happen. It's not like we will be spending that much time in the room anyway. I just want to know what to expect.

Are you doing a Grand Gathering? If you are, you can use that to ask for the rooms to be close to each other.

Just curious... for future possibilities... What constitutes a Grand Gathering?

I think it's either 8 or 12 people together. But we're not going with that many anytime soon. Just the three of us for a Good Gathering.

The name you put on the reservation will need to be the person checking in the room.

You can ask MS now to note each of the ressies that they're all for the same family and you'd like them to be as close to each other as possible.

Deb & Bill are correct. We went through this w/ 14 last November, with 2, 2-br villas. Fortunately we all arrived at the same time, but everyone for each room had to check in according to who was on the ressie for that room & pay for dining separately.
