My wife wanted to bring my son to the Charecter Brunch at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel....but we are going to be staying at the Residence Inn nearby. Do you have to be a guest of the Disneyland hotel to go?

or

Is the Charecter Brunch open to anyone?

Also...for those that have have gone to these Charecter Lunch/Brunches....which one do you think is the best?

Not at all, you can make reservations and eat there even though your not staying in one of the hotels.

Honestly it depends on the Characters you want to see. We like Goofy's Kitchen because we see a lot of the popular Disney characters. We usually see Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, Max, Chip and Dale ect... So we usually go there for our Character breakfast! My picture in my sig is of my son and Pluto at Goofy's Kitchen in July!

Yeah, its open to everyone! We took our 4yo and 1yo, they had a blast!

My family prefers breakfast with Minnie and friends in the park. We didnt have a great time at Goofys.

My bf and I tried the dinner buffet at Goofy's last summer. The food was good and the character interaction was great! :goodvibes It's great for kids because every few minutes they have a macarena fest. The kids dance with Goofy and some of the other characters. I also like the food at Ariel's Grotto in DCA. They have a set price which includes the cost of an appetizer, entree, dessert and drink. It's also perfect for anyone who loves the Princesses or doesn't get a chance to see them in the parks. :cutie:

Thanks. I just made reservations at Goofy's kitchen for breakfast at 9am.

Also...DW has always wanted to go to the Blue Bayou for lunch or dinner. Is the lunch menu the same as the dinner menu?

I'm guessing that its okay to bring a 2 year old there as well?

I will probably decide to have dinner there...since there usually isn't any really nice sitdown place ( that isn't like a cafateria ) to eat inside DL itself.

One more thing.....I made the prioirty seating reservations at the Goofy's kitchen...and will do the same for the Blue Bayou. Has anyone experienced any issues with booking the tables like this? When we went to DW 2 years ago....I made the same type of priority reservations at the Drive-In Restaurant....and we had to wait there for 30 minutes before a table cleared up....which didn't make DW very happy. I'm guessing that its all based off of availability and all....but I'm hoping that we don't have to wait long.....

We have eaten at both GK and BB numerous times in mid to late August and never had to wait more than 5 minutes. We found the food good and plentiful if that is what folks are looking for. BB was superb last August and wait staff were constantly asking about how the meal was going. I have no complaints about those two places.
Ariels Grotto was a different story..poor service and food was luke warm..I will give a nother try when I get the opportunity.

Tx. I am hoping that once we get there...we don't have to wait for more then 5 minutes.....the last thing I want is an unhappy and impatient DW.

We've never had to wait, come to think of it. We've never ate at BB yet, and are thinking of doing so in May. The only thing I've heard about waiting is if you want a water table. Even with a reservation you may have to wait a few minutes for those to come up. For me it would be worth it though. That would be a big reason in why I'm waiting to eat there! :) Glad you got the reservations for Goofy's Kitchen. I think you'll all enjoy it!
